Faced with the task of raising awareness about the UK’s young carers, Carers First sought to shine a light on the nearly one million children who provide essential care to their loved ones. We crafted a campaign designed to resonate emotionally with our audience.

We crafted a campaign designed to resonate emotionally with our audience. Through a poignant poem, we introduced viewers to the world of young carers—children who balance school, play, and their caregiving duties. This striking contrast highlighted the maturity and resilience of these children, often taking on roles as cooks, cleaners, and emotional pillars within their families.

Reaction

The video received tremendous feedback from the caring community, who said that they finally felt ‘seen and heard’. The campaign educated viewers on the existence and challenges of young carers, leading to a revelation for some that they knew a young carer personally.

The campaign received 10x the amount of usual views and engagement for Carers First on social media, and increased website visitors by 40%, ultimately marking a significant impact in raising awareness and support for young carers.
